Ceremony 1 - 10:30am

8:30am – 9:45am: Student Registration at Eden Court Theatre

Students should arrive at Eden Court Theatre to register for the ceremony.

Parking:

Public parking at Eden Court is limited. Alternative paid parking is available at:

• Inverness Cathedral
• Rose Street Retail/Multi-Storey Car Park
• Eastgate Shopping Centre

Registration:

Enter through the main entrance of the theatre and report to the registration desk in the foyer (on your right). Here you can collect your student ticket for the ceremony.

Guest Tickets:

Pre-booked guest tickets can be collected at the box office in the foyer. Tickets will be under your name. It’s best for your guests to collect their tickets while you are registering.

Gown Collection

After registering, you will be directed to the gowning studio in the SGL Room on the ground floor, managed by our official gown providers, Ede & Ravenscroft.
Please bring your Ede & Ravenscroft booking card and hand it to a member of their team.

Official Photography

Once gowned, proceed to the MacLean Room for any pre-booked official photography. This room is located just a few steps away from the gowning area.

Registration closes at 9:45am.

• 10:00am Seating in The Empire Theatre: Students and guests should take their seats in the main auditorium (The Empire Theatre). Please sit in the seat numbered on your ticket.
• 10:30am Ceremony Begins: The ceremony will commence at 10:30am. Staff will be on hand to guide you to the stage and back to your seat at the appropriate time.
• 12:00pm Ceremony Ends: The ceremony will finish at approximately 12 noon. The foyer will be busy as registration for the afternoon ceremony will be taking place. We recommend pre-arranging a meeting point with your guests away from the foyer and exiting the building promptly.
• 3:30pm Celebratory Reception at UHI Inverness: A celebratory reception will take place at UHI Inverness, 1 Inverness Campus, starting at 3:30pm. Attendance is optional and must have been pre-booked via the registration portal. If you have pre-booked, we look forward to celebrating with you there!

Parking at Campus:

Car Park 1 may be busy due to teaching activities. Please use Car Parks 2 or 3 instead.

Ceremony 2 - 1:30pm

11:00am - 12:45am: Student Registration at Eden Court Theatre

Dress Code

All graduands MUST wear the appropriate academic gown on stage. We recommend you take safety pins with you to keep your gown in place. The ceremony is formal, so please come smartly dressed. National dress is welcomed!

Please bear in mind that you will have to walk up a set of stairs to reach the stage, cross it then go back down. 

Gown drop-off

Students should drop off their gowns at either Eden Court Theatre following the ceremony. Gown can be dropped of at either:

• The SGL Room at Eden Court Theatre by 3pm
• UHI Inverness in the Atrium after the celebratory reception, by 5pm 

Publicity

Your name and course will be included in our graduation programme in print and online, unless you chose not to be included at the point of registration.

We will also be taking photographs and video footage on the day.
